Wentworthville Presbyterian Church

New here

What a Sunday looks like.

Every Sunday at 10am, 5a McKern St, Wentworthville NSW 2145. About an hour of singing, prayer and Bible teaching, then morning tea.

What to expect

How long does it go for?
About an hour. Then morning tea in the hall, which you are very welcome to stay for.
What actually happens?
We sing a few songs (words on the screen), someone prays, we read a passage from the Bible and Greg or another preacher explains it. There is a short break where kids head out.
What should I wear?
Whatever you are comfortable in. We're a relaxed church, and you will see everything from jeans and dresses to shorts.
Will I be singled out?
No. Nobody will ask you to stand up, speak, or give money. Come, sit anywhere, and leave when you like.
Who comes?
Grandparents, young families, singles, students, people who grew up in church and people who have never been. Our members come from many cultural backgrounds, much like Wentworthville itself.
Is it accessible?
Yes. The entrance to the church is a level concrete path, with a slight ramp at the entry to the hall. There will be someone at the door to greet you and help with anything you need, and we have a small car park reserved for people with mobility needs.

Kids and youth

Kids are part of church here, not an afterthought. They start in the service with everyone, then head out to Kids Church after the first few songs for Bible teaching at their level. There is a creche for babies and toddlers. All leaders hold a Working With Children Check and have completed Safe Ministry training.

High schoolers have Youth Group on Sunday afternoons during school terms.
